A NEW BEGINNING …

The Greek Orthodox Metropolis was contacted by an Orthodox family to begin services in 2013. Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco gave his blessings to begin a new mission. On May 17, 2014, the first liturgy was celebrated by Fr. Andrew Barakos at the Aquatic Center in Lake Havasu. Up until 2019, services were held at the Lake Havasu Christian Church on Saturdays. The parish organized itself under the name, “The Orthodox Church of Lake Havasu.” The parish is a fully incorporated non-profit 501c Church.

In 2019, we began leasing our own space and have now set up an Orthodox Chapel with services on Saturdays and some Sundays. Our vision is to grow the Orthodox Church by serving the Orthodox Christians from every jurisdiction and reaching out to those interested becoming members of the Orthodox Church.
